The famous Miffy or ミッフィー (in Japanese) or Nintje (in Dutch) traffic lights in Utrecht @ Lange Viestraat, in front of the Bijenkorf department store.
It is only appropriate since this little white rabbit was born on 21 June 1955, right here in Utrecht.
Born meaning first drew by Utrecht-born illustrator Dick Bruna (1927 – 2017) on 21 June 1955.
The name “Nijntje” is a diminutive of “Konijntje,” which means “little rabbit” in Dutch.
Since 1996, she is known as Miffy everywhere outside the Netherlands.
